I am the founding Director of Karuna Living and I led the setting up of this care provision. Over the past few years I have had the pleasure of working with my co Director Tracey and together steering the development of the business. My focus is directed internally as I oversee many of the strategic, financial and business support aspects of the company. We have worked closely to ensure that we have a great team of companions who provide the care, led by Laura our Registered Manager.
I am driven to ensure that the standard of provision is high because I believe that everyone deserves to have the opportunity to have access to the care that they need and for this care to be given with compassion.
I have a medical background but my day job is working with my husband as we continue to run a Leadership Consultancy, Complete. This enables me to bring additional resources to the team as the focus of this business is to help people develop and to be the best version of themselves.
One day a week though, you will find me chasing around our granddaughter and filling my heart with the joy this brings me.

I believe that we are all capable of continuing to learn and develop – our children and ourselves.
Sometimes this requires us to have the courage to do things we think we are not capable of. Setting up Karuna Living happened because there was no suitable provision available for our children. We had the choice to accept that or not, we chose to find our own solution.
But we don’t need to feel alone when we step out into the unknown and I am thankful for all the guides we continue to find along the way and in particular for the support of family and friends.

Over the last five years, I have had the privilege of helping to shape Karuna Living into the warm, empowering supported living community it is today.
The relationships I developed in my earlier career in special needs education admin has played a central role in developing the ethos of our service. Working closely with a staff team, parents and young people gave me invaluable insight into the challenges families face, the importance of clear communication and the need for consistent compassionate support.
For me this is more than a professional role; it’s a purpose driven by empathy, advocacy and the belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive.

Five years on, Karuna Living has grown into a truly special community. What began as a mother's hope for her son has become a nurturing, empowering environment where our young people can thrive. With a dedicated and compassionate team, we've created a warm, family-centred home that continues to grow in strength and purpose. The future is bright for the entire Karuna family.

Hi, I’m Jenny, I’ve spent most of my working life in care, it’s something that comes naturally to me as I enjoy helping and connecting with people. I also have a love for travel and spent 5 amazing years living in Thailand, experiencing the culture and different way of life. More recently I’ve started a family, which has been a whole new adventure of its own. I started working at Karuna living in 2025, I love spending time with the guys that we support I have enjoyed getting to know them and building a bond with them.

Support work has completely changed my outlook on what a job means to me.
After spending my working life waiting tables and pulling pints, I took on my first role in 2016 supporting 12 to 18 year olds. Since then, I have been involved in the daily lives of some amazing children and adults, helping them achieve new goals, increase their independence and form positive relationships.
I am now so proud to be part of the Karuna team supporting three fantastic residents, and I am loving every day there!
I love spending time with my family (you never stop being a mum even with grown up kids!), dog walks and listening to music for my wellbeing.
